After F.K. Lane I went to work in the
banking industry until March of 1955 when I was drafted into the U.S.
Army. My Basic training was at Fort Dix N.J. then onto Fort Sam Houston
Texas where trained to be an Army Medic. After 16 weeks of training
I found myself in the land of the Frozen Chosen Korea. I was in the 21st
Medical Company 24th Inf. Division. I was stationed there for 16 MONTHS. I
learned a lot in Korea which made me appreciate the Good Ole
U.S.A. I arrived home on Christmas morning 1956 and kissed the ground
and thanked god to be home. I went back to the Bank ,and after a few
months met this beautiful girl named Rachel, who I was lucky enough to
Marry. We are Married 44 years and have two son's, Louis, Joseph and a
lovely daughter Joanne. We have 6 grandchildren 4 boy's & 2 girls
who fill our lives with great joy. After getting married I moved from
bank to bank climbing the ladder each time until I found myself at The
Bank of New York where I stayed until I retired in May of 1993 as
Assistant Treasurer. Looking forward to the Reunion at Russo's,
also would love to hear from any classmates who remember me & even
one's who don't.
